Get Started with Siri

IMG_0233As the old adage says, “How do you eat and elephant? One bite at a time.”

So, how do you get started using Siri? One command at a time.

But let’s make it a little more practical and easier.

  1. Choose one Siri Command you want to use. For example, I say, “Timer 16 minutes.” This sets a timer for 16 minutes which is the time it takes for my laundry to complete before I have to add fabric softener.
  2. Write that Siri Command on a Sticky Note and place it somewhere you will see it on a daily basis to remind you to use it. (You could even take a photo of that sticky note and make it your iPhone wallpaper.)
  3. Once you’ve created a habit of using that Siri Command, choose another one and repeat the process.

(By the way, this is the same way you learn Keyboard Shortcuts.)

So here’s a list of over 50 Siri Commands. Choose 1–2 to start with and you’ll be amazed how convinient it is to talk to your phone. And Siri will understand you…. most of the time (and getting better all the time).
